In order to achieve high communication quality in Profinet, a number of prerequisites are necessary - for example, the verification of professional planning and installation through an acceptance test, reliable data transmission and network security. The Profinet Inspector NT from Indu-Sol continuously and passively monitors the logical data traffic in the network and immediately issues an alarm if defined tolerance values for quality parameters such as jitter, telegram gaps or network load are exceeded. These events are seamlessly documented and reported to the operator, as are security-relevant indications (e.g. the presence of unknown participants). The first important diagnostic information is shown directly on the device display, and all details can be called up via the web interface using an Internet browser. With just a few clicks, a complete acceptance report can be created that contains all the important information about the system.
