Siemens business figuresJoe Kaeser reports "a brilliant fourth quarter"
Positive results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2019 at Siemens: According to Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser, the majority of industrial businesses contributed to growth - despite a decline in demand for factory automation and motion control.

In the Mobility division, there was a very sharp decline in the volume of major orders compared to the fourth quarter of the 2018 financial year, which had included train orders worth EUR 0.6 billion and EUR 0.4 billion in Germany and Austria respectively. The growth in sales revenue was determined by double-digit percentage increases in the train business, where major projects were launched, and in the customer service business. For 2020, 'Mobility' expects a mid-single-digit percentage increase in sales on a comparable basis. The train business is likely to be the decisive factor here.
