Siemens - 3rd quarter 2018Incoming orders grow, sales stagnate
In the third quarter of 2018, Siemens recorded double-digit growth in order intake, while sales stagnated. Particularly good business in the 'Digital Factory' division offset losses in the 'Power and Gas' division.

The Digital Factory Division recorded a strong increase in volume - with growth in all businesses. According to Siemens, this was due to an outstanding development in the short-cycle businesses, which once again outperformed the market, as well as in the product lifecycle management software business, in particular due to considerable order gains at Mentor. Growth was achieved in all reporting regions - with particularly strong order growth in the USA and Germany and continued high demand from China.
