ZVEI / German electrical exports100 billion euro mark cracked
Upswing for German electrical exports: in June 2018, they rose by 3.8% year-on-year to €17.5 billion. According to the ZVEI, the electrical industry exported goods worth 102 billion euros in the first half of 2018, which is 4.3% above the previous year's level.

Turkey, which is currently struggling with a currency crisis, took 17th place in the German electrical industry's export buyer ranking last year: Between 2000 and 2017, industry exports to the country on the Bosporus almost tripled. Domestic electrical exports to Turkey are currently more or less stagnating. According to the ZVEI, there was a slight decline of 0.2% to 257 million euros in June and of 0.5% to 1.5 billion euros in the first half of the year as a whole.
