Siemens - 1st quarter 2018'Digital Factory' and 'Mobility' stand out
Siemens has announced its figures for the first quarter: the company is growing in terms of both order intake and sales - thanks to strong contributions from the Mobility and Digital Factory Divisions. In contrast, the result of the Industrial Business declined.

The 'Mobility' sector had a strong start to the fiscal year, with higher order intake, sales and earnings compared to the previous year. According to Siemens, order intake rose very sharply due to significant contract wins - including an order worth EUR 0.9 billion for commuter trains, including service, in Israel and a major order for passenger coaches in the USA.
