Thanks to its IP65/67 protection rating and compact dimensions, the IIoT controller from Automata can be mounted directly on the machine. Its scalable performance and communication interfaces make it suitable for IIoT applications with a focus on communication or control systems for classic PLC and motion applications as well as a hardware basis for visualizations.

The CPUs also perform these tasks in parallel. Ethernet interfaces, WiFi and 3G/5G modem create connections to the cloud or local networks and thus enable integration into SmartFactory structures. The OPC UA server serves as a standardized communication protocol. I/Os and drives can be connected via Ethercat. The IIoT controller also offers an expansion slot for local I/Os or additional fieldbus interfaces. In conjunction with Codesys as a soft PLC, even demanding automation tasks can be implemented.
