Automation division becomes independent

The automation division of ProCom will be managed as an independent company in future. This is a consequence of the takeover of ProCom's energy division by the investor Volue ASA, which makes it obligatory to separate the 'Energy' and 'Automation' divisions.

The company is thus returning to its core business of over 40 years as a provider of control and IoT solutions.
On July 7, Volue ASA (Oslo, Norway) announced the acquisition of the ProCom Energy segment. The Automation segment will continue to operate as an independent company under the name ProCom Automation. From September, both divisions will operate independently of each other. "We are looking forward to the establishment of ProCom Automation. This brings us back to the roots of our traditional company history, which began with the development of control software for the cutting industry. Nevertheless, we are looking to the future: we will use this opportunity to drive forward the further development of our products and solutions in the field of CNC control software and Industry 4.0 in a targeted manner," says Dr. Max Scheidt, Managing Director of ProCom.

ProCom Automation is a provider of CNC and CAM software and hardware for a wide range of cutting processes such as knife, laser, waterjet, plasma and foam contour cutting.
