Portwell announces the WEBS-13D1 fanless embedded system designed for kiosk, imaging, digital signage, medical and factory automation applications in harsh environments.
The system is equipped with Portwell's PEB-2773, a 3.5-inch form factor embedded board based on the Intel Atom Processor E3900 series, which integrates the Intel Gen9 graphics engine with up to 18 execution units. This is designed to improve 3D graphics performance and support 4K codec encoders and decoders. The system also offers DDR3L-SO-DIMM up to 8 GByte with 1866/1600 MT/s; 6x USB 3.0 ports, a DisplayPort and an HDMI port on the rear I/O panel with a resolution of up to 4096 x 2160. In addition, a Smart COM port for RS-232/422/485, which is configured by the BIOS setting via software, three COM ports for RS-232 on the rear I/O and multiple storage options with 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and mSATA are offered. The 200 (W) × 150 (D) × 80 (H) mm chassis platform also has an integrated mini PCIe interface that offers wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC as well as LTE/GPS functionality.
