S&T buys Linux service provider

In order to meet the demand for open source solutions, S&T has brought the Linux expert Linforge on board. The company is to be retained and will continue to operate under its current brand.

"No other company in Europe can boast a higher number of Linux certifications. This know-how of the Linforge experts, which is unique on the market, is an excellent addition to our portfolio. We can now also fully support our customers in the area of open source solutions, which are increasingly in demand," explains S&T CEO Michael Jeske, who will also act as the new Co-Managing Director of Linforge in future. The new Managing Director and CTO will be Clemens Niederreiter, who has already been working as a technician at Linforge and its predecessor company Linbit IT for 15 years. "The integration into the S&T Group will enable us to implement our growth strategy even better," he emphasizes.

According to S&T, 53 technical certifications for Red Hat, SUSE, SEP Sesam and Steel Eye as well as 22 sales certifications for Red Hat and SUSE services confirm the competence of the Linux experts.
