DigiKey will be presenting products and demonstrations from various manufacturers in the embedded systems sector at embedded world, including Arduino, Microchip, NXP and STMicroelectronics.

Thread network and 10BASE-T1S with 19,200 LEDs

Among other things, a Thread network of sensors and actuators from NXP, Microchip and STMicroelectronics will be on display. 'Home Assistant' serves as an interface that records measurement data such as air quality and ambient light and transmits it to a central hub.

Another demonstration is a 10BASE-T1S single-pair Ethernet network with the 'LAN865x' and 'LAN867x' components from Microchip. A video stream from a standard camera is displayed via 17 nodes with a total of 19,200 LEDs, which is transmitted via a single-board computer at 60 frames per second.

Microcontrollers, AI and optical sensors

The 'MCX N94' microcontroller from NXP is used for optical heart rate recording. It combines low power consumption with integrated peripheral elements and accelerators for multitasking applications.

In the field of artificial intelligence, hand gesture recognition from camera images will be demonstrated with the 'STM32N6' from STMicroelectronics. The MCU integrates arm helium vector processing technology to accelerate DSP functions.

Live sensor measurements will be carried out with the 'UNO Q 4GB' from Arduino and the plug-and-make kit. In addition, the 'PocketBeagle2' from 'BeagleBoard' will be presented as a compact and energy-efficient platform for prototypes and scalable applications.

FPGA, evaluation boards and training kits

Other exhibits include Red Pitaya's evaluation board for experiments on inverting and non-inverting amplifiers as well as frequency response and bandwidth analysis. LabsLand will be showing 'Prism4', a modular system for interactive real-time hardware systems.

Microchip presents the mini FPGA kit 'veryVerilog' as a platform for soldering and learning projects in microcontroller and digital electronics development. The 'Opta-PLC training kit' from Arduino is aimed at users who want to learn the basics of PLC programming and industrial control.

Some demonstrations integrate click boards from MikroElektronika to support rapid prototyping approaches.

"DigiKey looks forward to meeting engineers, designers and developers face-to-face at embedded world 2026," said Mike Slater, Vice President, Global Business Development at DigiKey. "Our industry-leading breadth and depth of readily available embedded systems products, expanded local shipping capabilities and export compliance services accelerate development activity and drive innovation in Europe and beyond."
