The devices offer various wireless interfaces. Common mobile radio technologies such as GPRS, UMTS and LTE are available. LPWAN technologies such as LTE NB-IoT and WLAN connections for internal network applications are also possible. According to the manufacturer, the edge gateways are characterized by the fact that they bundle the tasks of several devices. The systems can communicate via various fieldbuses and exchange data bidirectionally. All gateways are also optionally available with customized industrial security features from Janz Tec's Security Eco System Toolkit. Janz Tec is presenting the emIOT-A/iMX6 and -emIOT-X as the first products in the new IoT gateway series, which will be followed by smaller systems starting with the emIOT-Edge.
