Switch for extreme industrial use
The 26-port Gigabit PoE+ rackmount industrial switch 'TI-RP262' from Trendnet was developed for extreme conditions in the field.
With an IP30-rated metal housing, the switch can withstand strong vibrations and hard knocks and can be operated in industrial environments in a temperature range of -40 to +75 °C, according to Trendnet. Thanks to its fanless design, additional operating noise is avoided and energy consumption is reduced. The switch has 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports and two SFP slots with a total switching capacity of 52 Gbit/s and a maximum PoE power budget of 685 W. It also features so-called 'Jumbo Frame' technology (up to 9 KB) for compressed, significantly faster data transfer via packet transmission. The device has a dual, redundant power supply with overload protection and is therefore protected against power fluctuations and power failures. An alarm is triggered in the event of a power failure. A mounting kit for 19-inch rack installation is also available.
