New Committee in the 'SPS Automation Hub'
SPS strengthens User Perspective
In future, a user and visitor committee will shape the formats of the 'SPS Automation Hub' in a practical way. The aim is a continuous exchange between users and suppliers of automation technology in order to align content and events more closely with the needs of the community.
SPS - Smart Production Solutions has set up a new user and visitor committee to make the content of the SPS Automation Hub more practice-oriented. The committee sees itself as an active, advisory body and will support the further development of the trade fair, monthly 'SPS Technology Talks', the 'Industrial Technology Summit' and 'SPS Insights'. "With the committee, we bring the user's perspective directly into the design of our formats. The result: content that offers orientation, addresses current challenges and promotes exchange at eye level - for an experience that remains inspiring and practical," says Sylke Schulz-Metzer, Vice President SPS.
Dr. Reinhard Heister, Chairman of the Committee and Managing Director of Electrical Automation at VDMA, adds: "The PLC User and Visitor Committee creates good conditions for driving forward technological innovations together with the mechanical and plant engineering industry as a user sector of automation technology and for shaping the future of competitive production in a sustainable manner."
The committee currently consists of ten members, meets four times a year, twice in person including a meeting at the trade fair, and aims to promote direct dialog between users and suppliers. Interested parties can get in touch at any time to join the committee.
SPS 2025 will take place for the 34th time in Nuremberg from November 25 to 27, 2025.
