Six CAN FD channels in one housing
With the PCAN-USB X6, Peak-System accommodates six CAN FD channels in an aluminum profile housing. This enables the connection of several CAN FD and CAN buses via one USB port on the computer.
The CAN buses are connected via D-Sub. The data bytes of the CAN FD frames can be transmitted at a maximum of 12 Mbit/s. The USB adapter is particularly suitable for test benches with HIL simulations (Hardware in the Loop) for motor vehicles, in the final inspection of CAN-based products and for working with several CAN and CAN FD buses. The monitoring software "PCAN-View" and various programming interfaces (API) are provided by the provider free of charge. The "PCAN-Basic" API enables you to develop your own software with CAN and CAN FD support. Based on this, further libraries of standardized protocols from the automotive sector are available for programming - including the "PCAN-OBD-2" API for exchanging specific vehicle parameters. Device drivers are available for Windows 7, 8 and 10 as well as for Linux.
