Contactless energy and real-time Ethernet data transmission

The current variants of the 'NearFi couplers' from Phoenix Contact enable a doubling of the range for radio-based data transmission.

In addition, the devices offer double the power with automatic current equalization or the forwarding of two galvanically isolated voltages (US/UA) through parallel connection. The achievable range is doubled to up to 100 mm due to higher-performance radio boards during communication. The parallel connection of two NearFi coupler lines allows either the transmission of twice the power (up to 100 W) or of two electrically isolated voltages (50 W US/UA each). The IP65 devices from Phoenix Contact have new standardized M12 connections (L/D-coded) with a duo contour. This ensures flexible field wiring with classic M12 screw connectors or push-pull quick locking.
NearFi is a contactless real-time transmission technology that enables the transmission of power and data via an air gap. Thanks to protocol-independent and latency-free Ethernet communication, it opens up flexible application options for all Ethernet protocols up to 100 Mbit/s.
