Time Sensitive Networking - TSN for short - will establish itself as a real-time Ethernet standard faster than many communication specialists would like. In addition, 5G is now also a technology that allows "wireless" and real-time communication within the factory. Work on a uniform communication standard based on TSN and OPC UA is also in full swing, particularly for factory automation. The situation is similar in the automotive industry and the audio/video sector. One example: autonomous driving (Level 3) using TSN should be a commercially available reality in just one year.
