Companies looking for a new production location should opt for the USA. At least that is the conclusion of the current study 'Benchmark international production locations' by the Ulm-based consulting firm Ingenics.
... the United States holds top positions - for example in the 'human capital' category, which according to Ingenics is primarily due to the country's increased investment in the quality of education and training. As a result, the USA also performs even better in the global battle for talent. In addition, as in the previous year, the USA ranks first in terms of digitalization & innovation and, according to the Ulm-based consulting firm, is one of the pioneers of Industry 4.0. "New technologies are quickly adopted by companies and established through training for employees. In order to maintain this status, both the government and the companies themselves are investing heavily in new technologies and innovations," the study states. The study identifies a slight downward trend in the area of infrastructure. Ingenics attributes this to a slight drop in logistics performance and a decline in the quality of energy supply in America.
