A stable industrial Ethernet or Profinet network also requires high EMC resistance. For this reason, Indu-Sol has equipped the Promesh P9 infrastructure component 'switch', which is already present in the network, with EMC monitoring. A specially integrated measuring circuit permanently monitors the so-called leakage currents for this purpose and saves the highest value, including the frequency, if it is exceeded. If the shield currents reach a critical level, a targeted warning is sent to the operator (by e-mail, SNMP trap or via a potential-free contact) in order to detect any lasting impairment of data communication at an early stage.
