Artificial intelligence / BVDW"Ethics is becoming a competitive factor"
72% of German citizens prefer to buy digital products or services that are designed in such a way that they follow ethical principles when making decisions. This is one of the findings of the latest study by the German Digital Industry Association (BVDW).

Sometimes compliance with ethical standards can go hand in hand with a reduction in the range of functions: Two thirds of Germans would accept this and put functionality on the back burner. Among digital companies, this proportion is as high as 83%. "The industry is extremely sensitive in this respect - and that is appropriate, especially in Germany, and will also prove to be a competitive advantage with the increasing use of AI. After all, issues such as ethics and data protection play a much greater role in Germany than in the USA, for example," says Wahl.
