72% of German citizens prefer to buy digital products or services that are designed in such a way that they follow ethical principles when making decisions. This is one of the findings of the latest study by the German Digital Industry Association (BVDW).

... should monitor compliance with ethical standards: 46% of consumers and 51% of digital companies state that this task should be performed by an independent auditing body. Trust in the state is significantly higher among the population (23%) than among the digital economy (12%). While 35% of companies ascribe this responsibility to themselves, only 15% of the Germans surveyed do so.
