HMS Networks acquires Red Lion Controls

HMS Networks, a provider of industrial information and communication technology, has entered into a binding agreement with Spectris Group Holdings to acquire Red Lion Controls, a provider of industrial automation solutions based in the USA.

The acquisition of 100% of the shares in Red Lion Controls and Red Lion Europe, as well as certain assets in other countries, will significantly expand HMS ' presence in the North American market and complement HMS' offering. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2024, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Red Lion has four development sites in York, Pennsylvania (USA), Mobile, Alabama (USA), Dinkelsbühl (Germany) and Pune (India) as well as production sites in York and Dinkelsbühl. The company employs around 400 people worldwide, 300 of whom are based in the United States.
