Ethernet switches for harsh environments

The FL Switch 1000NT product family from Phoenix Contact is being further expanded and supplemented by new variants with an extended temperature range and approvals for the process industry and maritime applications.

According to manufacturer Phoenix Contact, the switches are characterized by a robust metal housing, a high port density and priority prioritization of data traffic for automation protocols. The seven models are suitable for applications in a variety of industries such as oil and gas and shipbuilding. Selected models feature SFP ports, giving users more flexibility depending on the connectivity and distance requirements of their application. The robust housing provides the series with a high level of interference immunity so that it can also be used in challenging applications. Thanks to the energy-efficient Ethernet, the switches also have a lower power consumption.
