Entry into OEMs' own IoT services
Machine and plant manufacturers who rely on automation technology from Lenze will be able to offer online and remote services more easily in future. The manufacturer has entered into a cooperation with the company ei3, which offers a combination of ...
... remote analysis and remote maintenance as a white label product. For the customer, ei3 remains invisible, the offer appears in the name and under the logo of the OEM. As part of a service contract, the machine manufacturer can collect all the data to which Lenze controllers have access, evaluate it and make it available to the customer - whether as an up-to-date dashboard, in the form of reports and key figures or as the basis for advice on optimizing systems and processes. The solution is also suitable for remote diagnostics and services, including remote maintenance and predictive maintenance services. The data from the machine is transferred to an appliance within the production network via OPC UA. From that moment on, communication is exclusively encrypted and runs at a high level of security. The data is stored in ei3's own regional data centers - there is one in the USA, one in Europe and one in Asia. A fourth is planned for Germany so that the data of local customers does not leave the country. This data center will meet all European data protection standards, compliance with which is confirmed by a Dekra certification.
