Deutschmann at the embedded world 2026

Inka Krischke,

For Profinet and Ethercat Networks

Deutschmann is launching the 'Unigate Falcon Eco' protocol converter series, which is initially available for Profinet and Ethercat. A Profibus variant will go into series production in the second quarter of 2026, with further variants to follow.

The compact top-hat rail module measures 25 mm × 95 mm × 95 mm and is therefore around 30 % smaller than the previous model. All bus versions have the same design. The devices are based on ARM Cortex-M technology and are designed for high data throughput. Supported protocols are Modbus RTU (master/slave), Modbus ASCII (master/slave) and ASCII. Configuration is carried out via a web interface via Ethernet, and a service function is available via a push-button for simplified support. According to the manufacturer, script programming offers a high degree of flexibility. Debugging takes place via USB, so that no additional hardware is required. The protocol converter is suitable for integrating serial devices into Profinet and Ethercat networks and is designed for use in various automation applications.
