Conversion from fiber optic to copper connections
The '2-Port-SFP-to-Gigabit PoE++' media converter 'TI-BF22SFP' from Trendnet converts two long-distance fiber optic connections into copper connections, even over longer distances.
At the same time, the Trendnet media converter supplies all PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ compliant devices such as IP cameras, VoIP telephones and wireless access points with up to 90 W of power. The switching capacity is 4 Gbps. The media converter with an operating temperature range of -40 to +75 °C has a metal housing in protection class IP30, which is suitable for harsh industrial environments. This also offers protection against shocks, free-fall and vibrations. Thanks to the fanless design, additional operating noise is avoided and energy consumption is reduced. LED lights indicate the port status. The media converter is also capable of so-called 'jumbo frame' technology for compressed, faster data transfer via packet transmission.
