The importance of 3D printing in mechanical engineering

152 companies took part in the survey on 3D printing conducted by the VDMA Additive Manufacturing (AM) working group. It became clear that 3D printed components or additive manufacturing already play a role in almost half of the companies. Many other machine manufacturers are examining possible applications.
