Highly dynamic measuring system from imc
© imc Test & Measurement

With CRONOS-XT, imc is launching a highly dynamic measuring system that is protected against water and dust thanks to IP67 protection. In combination with high shock resistance and MIL specification, the systems are also suitable for use in the harshest conditions. The measuring system consists of a base unit, measuring modules and handles, which can be connected to each other wirelessly and without tools using a click mechanism. Users can set up their measuring system for any measuring task in just a few minutes. According to the manufacturer, measuring modules with universal measuring amplifiers cover almost all sensor types, including strain gauges, measuring bridges, thermocouples, resistance thermometers (PT100/1000), pressure, displacement and acceleration transducers. In addition to analog measuring amplifiers, digital inputs and outputs as well as pulse counter inputs for incremental encoders are available. The direct integration of field and vehicle buses such as CAN, CAN FD and LIN makes the systems versatile. Depending on the type and number of measuring modules selected, analog channels with 100 kHz and total data rates of 2 MSps/s can be recorded. The measuring system works autonomously and can also record the data without PC support, calculate it online, save it and make it available via a web server. The integrated real-time platform with online analysis functions provides ready-to-use results during the measurement. Cascaded system topologies can be operated for multi-channel applications with up to 10,000 channels or for a spatially distributed and decentralized setup. An integrated web server enables remote access via tablet or smartphone.
