New products for the Hannover Messe 2017

Softing is launching the OPC UA embedded toolkit for developing OPC UA servers on embedded systems. The toolkit is based on the ANSI-C standard and, according to the provider, has a low memory requirement and low computing power requirements. This makes it particularly suitable for the firmware development of sensors and field devices, but also for use in control or I/O systems with limited resources. According to the company, users benefit from the use of ready-made and tested toolkit functions and can thus significantly shorten the time-to-market of their development projects. The toolkit supports the "Nano Embedded Device Server Profile" of the OPC Foundation as well as security features and publisher functionality according to UA specification v1.04 (release candidate). The development of server functionality for client/server communication is also supported.
