With the E53, Flir Systems presents the latest model in its "Exx" series of thermal imaging cameras for electrical, mechanical and building-specific applications, which is intended as the entry-level model in the series. The camera features a 4-inch touchscreen display with a 160° viewing angle, allowing users to clearly see the displayed thermal image from any angle. Like the other models in the series, the camera offers what the supplier claims is significantly improved "Flir MSX" technology by using a 5 megapixel visual camera to improve image sharpness, perspective and readability. With its 240 x 180 pixel resolution, the camera's detector offers over 43,000 temperature measurement points and a maximum temperature range of +650°C. Thanks to its robust and weatherproof housing, the camera is particularly suitable for harsh environments. An agile user interface enables intuitive operation and offers the user functions such as 1-touch level/span, with which the contrast of the target object can be improved at the touch of a finger on the touchscreen.
