New products for building automation

Weidmüller offers the JB 25-50 and EBB 25-50/16 terminal blocks for decentralized equipotential bonding. They are designed to enable the installation of a ring conductor with 25 to 50 mm², which brings together the potentials in the entire building. Stub lines with 16 mm² can be created from the ring conductor. According to the manufacturer, the terminal blocks safely equalize potential differences. Equipotential bonding prevents undefined currents that can cause faults and malfunctions. Compared to star wiring, decentralized equipotential bonding is said to offer potential savings. With it, there is no need to run long conductor lengths from the individual field components to the busbar, only short stub lines to the terminal block on the ring conductor. The equipotential bonding terminal blocks have an installation height of 24 mm. All clamping screws of the equipotential bonding terminal blocks have the same width across flats, which is why it is not necessary to change tools during installation.
