With the "Codesys Control SL" product series, the Codesys manufacturer 3S offers fully customized SoftPLC systems for standard device platforms such as the Raspberry Pi online in the Codesys Store. SoftPLC systems for the device platforms "PFC100" from Wago and "Simatic IOT2000" from Siemens have now been added. Both are equipped with an open Linux operating system and are suitable for industrial environments. The protocol stacks and configurators of the most important bus systems are integrated in the SoftPLC, so that the on-board Ethernet interfaces can be used immediately as a fieldbus. When the SoftPLC is installed, the devices become Ethercat masters, Ethernet/IP scanners or adapters and Profinet controllers or devices, among other things. They also support the "Codesys WebVisu", so that visualizations created in the "Codesys Development System" can be loaded onto the devices and displayed by any HTML5 browser. This makes it possible, for example, to monitor machines or systems using a tablet computer or smartphone. The integrated OPC UA server also turns the systems into Industry 4.0-compatible communication servers.
