Vision Components - Board camera 'VC picoSmart':
Vision Components has launched an embedded vision system on the market that fits completely on a circuit board. Measuring just 22 mm x 23.5 mm, the VC picoSmart board camera contains all the components required for image processing: 1-megapixel CMOS sensor with global shutter, FPGA module, high-end FPU processor and memory. An interface board can be connected via the integrated FPC connector. This means that the board camera can serve as a basis for the rapid development of cost-effective, application-specific and compact vision sensors.
The 'VCRT' operating system enables image processing in real time, for example for object detection, position control, barcode reading, web edge and fill level control.
