04 - ABB: Safety sensor for the food and beverage sector
The Eden C is the coated version of ABB's 'Eden' safety sensor. Thanks to its increased resistance to large temperature fluctuations, it is suitable for applications in the food and beverage industry where there is indirect or no contact with food, especially for larger rinsing and washing systems. Like all variants in the Eden range, the C model is a non-contact safety sensor for interlocked doors and safe position detection. It ensures that machines stop when a door or hood is opened. The models can also be used around robots to monitor whether they are in their specified position if their work area is entered. The non-contact safety sensor consists of two complementary parts that can detect each other's presence. All models comply with protection class IP67/IP69K and are designed for a temperature range of -40 to +70 °C. The 360° mounting option with generous tolerances ensures easy installation.
