Althen Sensors & Controls is launching the DPS5000 CANBus pressure transducer as part of the 'Unik5000' family. According to the manufacturer, it improves the performance level of the analog sensors of the 'Unik5000' pressure sensor platform by means of integrated, digital electronics. The pressure transducer uses the CANopen protocol, via which fully compensated measured values of pressure and temperature are transmitted. Its main features include a measuring range of 200 mbar to 700 bar, an overall accuracy of up to ±0.1 % FS, a temperature range of -40 to +125 °C, an update rate of 1 ms, a baud rate of up to 1000 kBit/s and customer-definable filter settings. Areas of application include automation technology and test benches in the automotive sector.
