The latest version of the EPSG's OpenPowerlink 2.3 industrial Ethernet stack improves the performance of masters and slaves that are based on operating systems. By supporting co-processor solutions, deterministic networks can now be set up on operating systems without a real-time extension, such as Windows. Co-processor support is particularly important for image processing algorithms used in PC-based vision systems.
