Wago Kontakttechnik has significantly extended the application range of the second generation of the PFC200 controller with a variety of functions. Ethercat is now supported in order to expand the number of addressable field devices and extend the controller's range of applications. In the current version, any number of Ethercat slaves can be integrated into a 'PFC200'-based control system. An important new feature is the comprehensive configurability of the fieldbus. The programmer can specify which bus system is to be supported using exactly the same hardware.
