Producing spare parts on demand and repairing damaged components on site - these are the goals of the Rotterdam Additive Manufacturing Fieldlab (RAMLAB) in the port of Rotterdam. The lab manufactures ship propellers using a hybrid approach of additive manufacturing and conventional CNC milling technology. Autodesk presented an example - not yet fully completed - at the Hannover Messe.
