In response to customer requests for a robotic hand that can be connected to the Cobot 'Rebel' via plug-and-play, Igus has developed a finger gripper. The humanoid hand is compatible with all models of the cobot. It is controlled via DIO at the Tool Center Point, which enables simple integration and flexibility in various applications. According to the manufacturer, the finger gripper can imitate human hand movements and perform a wide range of simple humanoid tasks and applications. According to the company, tasks in the field of research and development at universities are conceivable, as well as tasks in the catering and entertainment industries.

All components, including the flange, cables and control unit, come directly from Igus. The plain bearings in the joints made of Igloidur polymers are lubrication-free and enable smooth and precise movements of the individual fingers. The humanoid hand can be controlled via various interfaces, including USB, TTL (5 V) serial and internal scripting.
