02 - Endian: IoT Security Gateway as software and virtual solution
Endian is expanding its IoT security gateway range with the 4i Edge software and its virtual variant. They can be used to transform industrial PCs and IoT gateways (x_86) into a connectivity and cybersecurity solution to connect and secure industrial equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, RTUs and SCADA systems. Combined with the 'Switchboard', the central management tool of the Endian Secure Digital Platform, companies receive a highly scalable complete solution. The gateway enables secure remote maintenance by protecting every connection via the establishment of a Virtual Private Network (VPN). As the data exchange works in both directions, it is also possible to monitor machine statuses. Threat management can be used to detect unusual activities in the network and prevent attacks on the IT and OT infrastructures. The connected systems are protected by IT security functions such as a firewall, intrusion detection/prevention system (IDS/IPS), antivirus, layer 7 filter functions and deep packet inspection.
