The b maXX servo converter family from Baumüller is now also available with a Powerlink interface. The b maXX 2500, 3300, 4400 and 5000 inverter series have been certified by the Ethernet Powerlink Standardization Group (EPSG) as compliant with the Powerlink specifications. The device family covers a spectrum from small inverters to devices with more than 300 kW, with different form factors and modular series. According to the manufacturer, pre-programmed functions for the servo inverters simplify commissioning, shorten development times and increase fault tolerance. With 'b maXX 2500', the company combines its 'b maXX 3300' series inverters with the robust DSD2, DSC and DSP1 servomotors. The result is a compact drive with integrated electronics for decentralized automation in the high-end range up to 6 kW and a protection class of IP65.
