End devices with high power requirements can also be operated in existing Gigabit Ethernet networks via Power-over-Ethernet. Microsens has developed the MS657032X industrial high-power PoE injector for this purpose, which can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail. Areas of application include IP video surveillance cameras for outdoor use with built-in heating and PTZ functionality, access points, mobile computers, LED lighting and infrared spotlights, which are supplied with a maximum power of 60 W via the data cable. The injector has a robust metal housing and can be used at temperatures between -40 and +75 °C. The device works according to the PoE/PoE+ standard and supports Gigabit Ethernet with 10/100/1000 MBit/s data transmission. In addition to the standard-compliant 15.4 W/30 W modes, outputs of 36 or 60 W can be made available via the DIP switch on the front. This is made possible by using all four wire pairs of a twisted pair cable. An injector version with integrated step-up converter (MS657032X-24) is available as an option.
