The lightweight, robust ICE series enclosure from Comp-Mall has been specially developed for PC/104 systems. With the flexible enclosure system, customers can install their PC/104 stack of up to nine modules in up to three "ICE" boxes that are screwed together. The enclosure parts have a watertight seal and comply with protection class IP67. In addition, a vibration absorber protects the PC/104 modules. Applications can be found in outdoor, vehicle, aircraft and underwater applications as well as in cold stores. Active heating starts automatically when the temperature falls below the configurable minimum temperature (standard -20 °C). The customized I/O panels are the external interface for the PC/104 stack. It offers industry standard connectors for CRT, Ethernet, USB, serial, parallel, PS/2, power supply and GPIO. Status LEDs are also included. The enclosure series is tested for shock and vibration and offers protection against harmful shock and vibration energies that can occur in mobile and other environments. For the passively cooled and actively heated Box PC modular system, there are over 20 different standard CPU modules with SFF, low power DM&P Vortex86 or other processor technologies, power supply units and numerous I/O expansion modules for Ethernet and wireless (IoT) interfaces, USB, digital and analog I/O, fieldbuses and motion control applications. The interfaces can be implemented on the front and rear panels.
