MiBridge from Weidmüller enables PLC/PLS to be replaced without the need for extensive rewiring. This migration solution makes it possible to simply connect I/O cards to the existing field wiring via an adapter card so that the existing field wiring can continue to be used without restriction. The connection is made directly via the existing field wiring connector. Depending on the existing installation, MiBridge offers three different solutions for quickly replacing the PLC/PLS: bridge solution, card solution and system cabling with PLC/PLS transfer elements. With all solutions, the existing cabling is completely retained. With Card Solution, the mounting rack of the new system is added to the existing installation, allowing the new card adapters to be inserted into the existing adapters. In the case of system cabling with PLC/PLS transfer elements, only the DC cable and the PLC/PLS itself need to be replaced. MiBridge is compatible with PLC/PLS systems from different manufacturers.
