In addition to Ethercat and the Mechatrolink-III high-speed bus, the AC servo drives in the Sigma-7 series from Yaskawa now also support the Profinet interface. The narrow single and double-axis amplifier modules for 200 V or 400 V can be arranged seamlessly in the control cabinet and wired via daisy chain. They cover outputs from 50 W to 15 kW. As an alternative to the servomotors, linear motors or, at 200 V, torque motors can also be operated on the same amplifiers. Encoders with a resolution of 24 bits ensure precise control and short settling times in the range of a few milliseconds. The drives operate at ambient temperatures between 0 and 55 °C without additional cooling. Preset parameters in the amplifier software simplify commissioning.
