Air-water heat exchanger from Rittal
© Rittal

Rittal has launched a new air/water heat exchanger for enclosure climate control for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The construction of the air/water heat exchangers, which were developed as wall-mounted units, complies with the principles of hygienic design. A roof inclination of 30°, for example, prevents objects from being placed on the housing. In addition, the slope allows liquids to drain away immediately. The external seal is made of silicone and complies with FDA guideline 21 CFR 177.2600. It prevents contamination from forming between the housing of the air/water heat exchanger and the enclosure. The air conditioning solution also has a housing made of stainless steel 1.4301 with a surface finish (grain 400) with a roughness depth <0.8 µm. With protection class IP69K, the enclosure is resistant to high-pressure cleaners. The air/water heat exchangers are available in two versions with cooling capacities of 700 W and 1300 W respectively.
