The 'Discovery 120 Collector' from the award-winning Dutch company Lely Internation follows a programmed route through the cowshed. Its path is controlled by built-in sensors. The robot vacuums up the cow manure on fixed walkways. The device can also spray water at the front and rear for dilution and cleaning. The vacuum pump inside sucks the manure into the device - when the tank is full, the Discovery moves to the unloading station. Here, the cleaning robot empties the tank and refills the water supply before returning to the charging station. Lely launched the Discovery on the market in several European countries and the USA in 2017. Further countries are to be added in the future.
