... According to Fraunhofer IML, the pallet no longer functions merely as a load carrier, but also as an information carrier. It should be able to communicate via smart devices in a decentralized network. The use case presented at Logimat is based on 'NarrowBand IoT' wireless technology. The solution was developed as part of the joint research activities of Fraunhofer IML and Deutsche Telekom in the 'Telekom Open IoT Lab', which was founded a few months ago.
