Thanks to their robust design and resistance to environmental influences, the M16 connectors have established themselves in the connection of indoor and outdoor sensors that require a higher number of poles than is possible with M8 and M12 connectors.
In addition to cable plugs and sockets, the 415 series also includes panel jacks that can be screwed in from the front. When mated, they achieve protection class IP67. The connectors in the series are fitted with eight gold-plated contacts, which can carry a current of up to 0.5 A at 50 V AC or 60 V DC, and can accommodate cables with diameters from 5.5 to 9 mm.
