Bihl+Wiedemann is a medium-sized, owner-managed company - founded in 1992 by Jochen Bihl and Bernhard Wiedemann in Mannheim. The company develops and manufactures complete automation solutions for functional safety and data communication in machines and systems. The products are used worldwide in a wide range of industries, for example by leading manufacturers of consumer and capital goods.

Bihl+Wiedemann is the technology leader in automation and safety technology with AS-Interface (ASi) and has played a key role in the development of all ASi generations. In 1995, the ASi Master was the first to receive a certificate from AS-International e.V., the ASi organization with 300 national and international partners.
