With the '4-port managed Profinet switch', Systeme Helmholz presents another Profinet component. It is integrated into the automation environment using the GSDML file. The switch is mounted on the DIN rail and has a web interface for configuration and diagnostics. It is also possible to carry out diagnostics and/or configuration via Telnet, SSH or USB. According to the manufacturer, the supported Profinet protocols - for example LLPD, DCP or diagnostic alarms - can be easily parameterized and managed. The maximum transmission speed of 100 Mbit/s, which can be set per port, is standard, as are Profinet Conformance Class B and the MRP client for transmission security through ring redundancy.
